Readers,

Welcome to the January issue of Beautifully Said and we are delighted that you joined us for what we believe will be a life changing year.  We hope you receive this issue with an enthused spirit for how the New Year will manifest great things for you.  Let us strive to maintain the same level of excitement that we feel on the first day of the year.  This can be a challenge for most of us as our resolutions or lifestyle declarations begin to lose steam midway into the month of January.  Last year we spoke of not focusing on resolutions but more so accessing our individual selves to achieve realistic goals.  There is nothing wrong with resolutions but the saying goes, “There’s something in a name.”  Perhaps, because resolutions have a reputation of being broken, we  fall into the hype because it provides an escape of responsibility- if we choose not to honor our new commitments.

So let’s encourage ourselves and each other to gradually become the best person we know we can be.  Gradual but life changing steps may include; Commitment to one (1) realistic goal, purchasing a journal, taking small walks in your neighborhood, or thinking of what type of business you would like to start.  With resolutions, there is the pressure to make changes on a very fast scale but with lifestyle changes we can begin to tailor what fits for our own lives without measuring to Someone else’s standards.

We dare you to think outside the box—bet you heard that  more times than you’d like to hear.  Really, thinking outside the box allows us to know that we are bigger than the space that previously led us.  Don’t get overwhelmed with all of the things that you want to do this year, but approach each goal with a new mindset to make major strides from what existed the year before.  So let’s continue to be exited for what 2012 will bring to us.  Breakout the vision boards, organize your space, and say out load what you wish to ultimately achieve.  Ready…Set…Here we go!

Happy New Year!
