Placed Values

What do we propose to do responsibly this year that we fell short in doing last year?  This is a thought I had based on the overall struggles many of us endured in year 2011.  Did we cry broke at important,  financial matters only to spend our money frivolously on designer purses and new Jordans.  Material items are a luxury we can all enjoy if it is our preference to do so— but it should come with the notion that we cannot negate our household or personal matters.

Standing in line for Jordans

Pointing fingers at no one but wanting us all to become financially responsible is my reason for writing this article.  We feel better when we have our financial matters in order such as; saving,  having health/dental coverage, and making sure our life insurance policy provides for our families should the unfortunate happen.

So before we stand in a long line waiting eagerly to purchase the latest sneakers, let’s make it our mission to use that same amount of  energy to take care of our personal, professional, and financial well being.  We really do owe it to ourselves to crawl out of debt and climb towards financial responsibility and it can start with placing our values in the proper order.
