Jada Pinkett Smith packs a lot of power inside a tiny frame. From her start as Lena James in “A Different World” to films such as “Set if Off” and the movie franchise “The Matrix” the actress has always breathed real life into the many characters she’s played. Speaking of real life, we can’t get enough of Jada’s “Red Table Talk” (we’re ready for new shows) and Instagram. It’s why we’re giving you four reasons this wife and mom realism is good for the soul.

Activist Before Hollywood: Have you seen the video of a young Jada Pinkett (long before Smith became part of her hyphenated name) sitting on a panel with Eazy-E (Eric Wright)? Check out husband, Will Smith Instagram page where he posted the footage a few months ago. She championed the late rapper to show more respect for women in his music. “I don’t feel good about myself listening to your music…Eric,” she expressed with folded arms. Proving she had a voice well before Hollywood came knocking on her door.

Women Empowerment: The thing we love most about Jada is she is unafraid to speak her truth. Even before she sat down at the Red Table with her mother and daughter, she shared her transparent moments in various publications, interviews and more recent Instagram. How freeing is it to have a woman in Hollywood mend broken relationships (Gabrielle Union) or to disclose she suffers from hair thinning? All of this, to let women know it’s okay when life happens.

Fierce Partner: Who hasn’t heard the numerous rumors of the Smith’s marriage? Everything from open marriage to the never-ending word “divorce.” What we love best about the Smith’s marriage is…they’re still together despite any and all tabloid fodder. Proving what matters is the two people connected through their union. Jada clearly loves her man! And breaking up is never an option. Forever evolving in truth, she shares the good and bad, but not without a resolve. It’s something she’s carried over to her children Jaden, Willow and Trey ( Will Smith’s son with first wife, Sheree Zampino) and that is the principle of fierce love and togetherness.

Girlfriend In Our Head: While having a ‘tell it like it is’ girlfriend is good to keep us grounded, we also need someone who can remind us not to take ourselves too seriously. Jada who is normally more reserved to husband Will’s comedic side, shared today on Facebook a video of herself doing the moonwalk. We love it! Yes, Jada. That part!
