Angela Bassett continues to light up the big screen in the 22-year-old franchise thriller, Mission: Impossible — Fallout. Bassett plays CIA director Erica Sloan alongside superstar actor Tom Cruise and an ensemble cast. In a recent interview with ‘Good Morning America‘ host Robin Roberts, Bassett responded to the question on playing powerful women roles by saying “I was raised by strong women. My mom and auntie were from various  economic stratus,” Bassett also gave a nod to her strong female friends who befriended her, and her desire for raising a strong daughter to being an inspiration for other daughters and young ladies who are out there.

In addition to balancing a successful television and movie career, the The “9-1-1,” actress is the mother of twins with husband Courtney B. Vance,  but it is her physique that keeps her fans and Hollywood talking well beyond her TV and movie roles. The Black Panther film star will soon turn 60 but doesn’t look a day over 35. With a positive outlook on life— it’s no wonder why Bassett looks to be aging backwards.

We are sure Bassett will bring to Mission Impossible, the same fire she brings to all of of her roles.
