OAK BROOK, Ill. (December 7, 2017)McDonald’s USA announced it will close its 2017 multi-city Inspiration Celebration Gospel Tour (ICGT) with the first-ever Holiday Experience Concert featuring a powerful line-up of gospel talent. The longest-running, brand-owned gospel music tour will bring the gift of music to the stage with multi-award winner Kirk Franklin, songbirds The Clark Sisters, music director and songwriter Donald Lawrence, crooner Brian Courtney Wilson, and singing sensation Jekalyn Carr while radio personality and gospel artist Lonnie Hunter serves as host.

“I’m honored to be a part of such a unique experience and I can’t wait for the night of joy and praise to begin,” said Kirk Franklin, who was not on the docket for the national tour but joined especially for the Holiday Experience Concert.  “We will bring the community together for a holiday celebration through song while continuing to support Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC®).

The McDonald’s Inspiration Celebration® Gospel Tour Holiday Experience Concert will continue the tour’s nationwide fundraising to support RMHC mission: “Keeping families with sick children together and near the care and resources they need”.  The funds raised during the Holiday Experience Concert will be donated to the RMHC of Greater Houston/Galveston and the families they serve.  Over the past six years, the tour has raised approximately $761,000 for RMHC, enough to provide more than 6,300 overnight stays for families at Ronald McDonald Houses around the country.

“To be able to wrap up the Inspiration Celebration Gospel Tour with the Holiday Experience in Houston is an opportunity for us to give back to this resilient city and its people,” said Angie Blissett, U.S. Marketing Director, Brand Innovation for McDonald’s USA. “Our continued support of Ronald McDonald House Charities through this concert is also important for us, especially during this time of year, when families with sick children are looking for ways to stay as close as possible.”

The Holiday Experience Concert will be taking place on Thursday, December 14 at the Church Without Walls, 5725 Queenston Boulevard in Houston, Texas. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and the concert begins at 7:00 p.m. As always, the concerts are free of charge but admission tickets are required.
