A little word “remix” to celebrate the men and women fans of LL Cool J. The rapper turned actor received a star on the Hollywood walk of Fame Thursday, Jan. 21. His achievements honored with the recognition as the first rap artist to have 10 consecutive platinum albums to enjoying a successful acting career.
“I’m grateful, this is pretty big for me,” said the “NCIS: Los Angeles star.”
Celebrities on hand to join in the celebration were Sean “Diddy” Combs, Queen Latifah and Russell Simmons.
LL Cool J was born James Todd Smith in New York—Hollis neighborhood of Queens. He performance name which stands for Ladies Love Cool James was instrumental in shaping his music image early on in his career (1984) with Def James Records. He’s won Grammys for the songs “Mama Said Knock You Out” and “Hey Lover.” He has gone on to star in both the small and big screen in movies such as “Deep Blue Sea,” and the “NCIS” franchise. The husband and father of four recently celebrated a birthday and will host the Grammys for a fifth consecutive year.
