Mother’s Day Fashion

Mother’s Day Fashion

Mother’s Day is vastly approaching and I can imagine all the mom’s trying to find the perfect fit. I’m not a mom just yet but I have been looking at different fashions and trying to see what would be the perfect find to help my ladies out. As we know the major retail stores such as Macy’s, Dillard’s etc., will have just about everything in stock to suit the mom’s taste but I highly encourage you to shop locally or with a small business this holiday. Take a look at some of the brands I love and admire and choose to include it on the shopping list.

Below we have a dress by A Leap of Style is really fun and sleek and can be worn multiple ways. This company is known for their bold print and staple pieces. The beautiful model in the picture shows a couple of different ways this piece can be worn. The first look displays the garment as a chic wrap dress that is accessorized with a hat and cute bag. I would add a few more wrist bangles and some gold rings set such as a regular ring and a few midi rings to highlight the look a little more.

Our second look (cover photo) shows how you can dress it down with your favorite pair of jeans and a simple button-down shirt, wearing the dress open like a robe style. I absolutely love and adore both looks. With the versatility of this style, it can literally be worn all day from church to brunch, to an enjoyable cocktail event. Another accessory I would personally add would be a pair of heels for both looks. It’s something about a woman in heels that shows she’s arrived. I myself wear heels at least 5 days out of the week. For some odd reason, I feel sexier and more confident when I have on a pair of heels. I can quote back to as far as the year 2012 when “The Queen B” Beyoncé graced the cover of People’s magazine as the world’s most beautiful woman and mentioned in the interview that she loves heels and believes the higher the heel the sexier she feels.

To my ladies who intend to where something in their closet due to budget constraints but needs to embellish your outfit a little more just to give it that pop. Take a look at some affordable jewelry pieces by Melody St Jewels This includes free shipping (restrictions may apply).

You can never go wrong with sunglasses, especially in this Texas heat.

The businesses aforementioned in the article are a minority owned business. I encourage supporting more minority-owned businesses in your community. I would love to see what you’re wearing for Mother’s Day. Attach a pic of your outfits in the comment box below.
