Oprah Winfrey has always been candid about her food journey throughout the years. We’ve watched the media mogul try her hand at a number of diets and lifestyle ways to curb her battle with weight loss. Most recently Winfrey joined Weight Watchers a little over a year ago with a 10 percent stake in the company. And now she unveils the cover of her first healthy cookbook to debut Jan. 3 which she shared exclusively with PEOPLE.
“As long as I can remember, I’ve been the kind of person who wants to share the things that make life better,” she told PEOPLE in a statement. “When I come upon something useful, something that brings me pleasure or comfort or ease, I want everyone else to know about it and benefit from it, too. And that is how this cookbook came to be. It’s my life story — the lessons I’ve learned, the discoveries I’ve made — told through food.”
The cookbook is titled Food, Health and Happiness: 115 On-Point Recipes for Great Meals and a Better Life. And if it’s any indication of the vividly wonderful food pictures she shares on Instagram it will be a delight for fans to partake of the recipes inside. Winfrey says she was “inspired to write the title to detail her struggles and triumphs over food and finally finding what worked for her body.” Some of the recipes include “Unfried Chicken and “Turkey Chilli.” Chefs Mei Lin (Top Chef winner) and former chefs Rosie Daley and Art Smith graces the publication.

According to Winfrey she’s “lost 26 pounds” upon initially getting on board with Weight Watchers and though the current number has not been revealed, we can all probably agree Ms. “O” looks great!
